PHOTO ALBUMS
PhotoBooks is the new way that will relegate photo albums to the museum. Cost of a good quality album is high. Cost of printing on photo papers to be albumable is cosiderable. So an album with all the printed photos in it on the whole is definately not cheap. Previously the reason to not think too much of it is that memories are priceless. But now we have another way; turn those memories into a photo book that can be arranged in so many ways with your creativity the limit.

PHOTOBOOK SITE
Now, instead of photo albums we have Photobook; a book of photographic collections similiar to photo albums but printed directly onto the pages to be like photo tavel book. Instead of photographs of places or people having no connection to you, it is a collection of your memories and moments precious to you.

Photobook Malaysia is Malaysian chapter of worldwide Photobook https://www.photobook.com.my/
that provide such a service. The site offers photobooks of various size configurations to suit you. They have 8″x 8″, 8″x 11″ portrait, 8″ x 11.5″ landscape, 11″ x 11″ square , 14″ x 11″ with various options including lay-flat, image-wrap, debossed and various paper quality.
MY EXPERIENCE
I first learned about this after seeing an 8″ x 8″ photobook of my daughter. Immediately I wish I could have similiar photobook with landscape oriented book size version. Then I could print my selected digital photos based on events or memory threads that is precious to me. My wife who is not computer handy and sees them as unwanted obsessions had said that if I could print those collection of photos into an album she could flick instead of browse, it would make her a very happy woman. Sapa tak sayang bini beb!!! πππ
I found out about it in Lazada with a huge discount that was too attractive not to indulge. So I purchased a voucher for a discounted RM50 that entitled me for a landscape 8″ x 11.5″ photobook with 40 pages, postage not included. It costed me RM10 for postage.
With it I was given a voucher code to redeem. Clicking the redeem link directed me to an Online Editor that allowed me to put my photos in a predesigned image photo-holders. I soon learned that I could change, add or delete the photo-holders to suit my style. I could even have a memorable image full across 2 pages.
However when I closed out, I had to pay another RM30 to Photobook. Complained I did but no answer received. I had even posted on my FB

My friend have no such problem. He dealt direct with Photobook. I took it as my fault and just pay the price.
SPEEDY DELIVERY
Delivery was fast. Photobook said 3 working days need for printing and a few more days for delivery. I got mine in 3 days flat.
SATISFACTION
Without seeming like an agent of #Photobook I am indeed very happy with the product received. Printed quality is good. However the print depended on the original quality of my photos. Whatsapp photos seemed pixelated, so must not be used for large image.
And more importantly my wife was very happy and took it to bed to flick over when I was absorbed in something else. And that is very important indeed. It ensured me of good food with different menu daily, a tea fit for King says my Brother Dr.Nawi π₯°π₯°π₯°
MORE PHOTOBOOK
That of course encouraged me to get more. My next orders were 8″ x 11.5″ landscape with 80 pages and 11″ x 11″ Square with 40 pages.
I ran into another problem π

After trying here and there and deleting something I managed to get it ordered but have to pay another RM30 to Photobook on top of the paid voucher (nit RM282.75). I took it as another of my mistake and a process of learning. It is still a deal compared to the cost that I would have incurred if instead it is an 80 pages of photo album.
So problems just need to be overlooked.
